Tip: Most styles run true to size in US sizing. If you normally wear a half size and only a whole size is shown, we recommend sizing down for classic-fit styles and sizing up for relaxed-fit styles.

Width Available Sizes (US) Category
AAAA 8.5–16 Narrow
AAA 10–12, 13, 14 Narrow
AA 10–12, 13, 14 Narrow
A 9–12, 13, 14 Narrow
B 8–12, 13, 14, 15 Narrow
C 8–12, 13, 14, 15 Narrow
D 6–13, 14, 15, 16 Medium
E 6–12, 13, 14 Wide
EE 6–12, 13 Wide
EEE 7–12, 13, 14 Wide

Medium (D) is the standard width for most men. If your shoes usually feel tight across the ball of your foot, step up to Wide (E, EE, or EEE). If they slip at the heel or feel loose in the midfoot, try a Narrow width instead of a half size down.

Good to know: Not every width is offered in every size — the "Available Sizes" column shows which sizes each width comes in. If your size and width combination is out of stock, the closest available combination is usually a half size in the same width.

Classic Fit

What most people consider a standard fit. It closely follows the natural shape of your foot — true to size with a snug, traditional toe box.

Relaxed Fit

Extra room in the toe box for thicker socks and for the natural foot expansion that happens by the end of the day or on long flights. If you're between sizes, this fit gives you a little more flexibility.

How to Measure Your Feet at Home

  1. Grab your tools. You'll need a piece of paper larger than your foot, a pencil, and a measuring tape or ruler.
  2. Trace both feet. Place the paper against a wall, stand on it with your heel touching the wall, and trace around each foot. Measure both feet separately — one is often larger than the other.
  3. Measure length. Measure from the back of the heel to the tip of the longest toe (not necessarily the big toe), in inches or centimeters.
  4. Measure width. Measure across the widest part of the ball of your foot.
  5. Size to the larger foot. If one foot is bigger, go with that measurement. Add an insole to the shoe for your smaller foot.
  6. Measure in the afternoon. Feet naturally swell during the day, so measuring in the late afternoon gives you the most accurate size.

Between sizes? For Classic Fit styles, size down; for Relaxed Fit styles, size up. A properly fitted dress shoe should feel snug at first — quality leather uppers will soften and mold to your foot within a few wears.
